Glo Launches Four New Offers as It Tells Nigerians to “Never Settle For Less”

Glo Introduces New Products as It Launches “Never Settle For Less” Campaign

Globacom has launched a new brand campaign in Nigeria, accompanied by four new and upgraded products aimed at giving subscribers more value from their mobile services.

The telecom company unveiled the “Never Settle For Less” campaign at an event in Lagos as it marks its 23rd anniversary in Nigeria. The campaign encourages Nigerians to demand more from themselves, their technology and the services they use.

The four offerings introduced by Glo are Glo Welcome Bonus, Talkmasta Reloaded, Magic Data Bundles and the upgraded Glo Café app.

Glo Welcome Bonus

Glo's new Welcome Bonus is targeted at new customers activating a Glo SIM. According to the company, eligible new subscribers receive 20 minutes of calls to all networks, 2GB of data and one month of GloTV Premium access. The offer is designed to give new customers an immediate bundle of calls, internet access and entertainment after joining the network.

Talkmasta Reloaded Adds More Data

Glo has also upgraded its popular Talkmasta “6 for 6” offer. Under the revised arrangement, subscribers continue to receive six free minutes for every cumulative six minutes of calls made in a day. The data bonus has also been increased, with Glo now offering 100MB, compared with the previous 50MB allocation. For customers who make frequent voice calls, the additional data could make the tariff more attractive.

Magic Data Bundles Bring Guaranteed and Bonus Data

Another major introduction is Magic Data Bundles, which Glo describes as a new approach to data subscriptions. Customers purchasing qualifying bundles receive their guaranteed data allocation alongside an additional Magic Bonus Data allocation.

The bundles are available at ₦1,600 and ₦3,500, with the amount of bonus data depending on the particular offer. Glo says customers can receive additional bonus allocations without paying extra for them. Glo says Magic Bundles can be purchased through the Glo Café app or by dialling *312#.

Glo Café Gets an AI Upgrade

Perhaps the most technology-focused part of the announcement is the redesigned Glo Café app.

Glo says the updated application comes with a refreshed interface, additional security features and more payment options. It also introduces Gloria, an AI-powered voice and text assistant designed to help customers find information, resolve enquiries and discover available offers. Gloria supports English, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, French and Spanish, giving the assistant a broader language range for customers across different markets.

The company has also highlighted additional promotional benefits available through the app, including special data offers.

What Glo's New Campaign Means for Customers

The new campaign comes as Nigeria's telecom subscribers continue to look for better value from their calls, data and digital services. Rather than introducing only a new advertising slogan, Glo is tying the campaign to changes across its core customer offerings. The company says the idea behind “Never Settle For Less” is to encourage Nigerians to pursue better opportunities and make use of digital services to achieve their goals.

For consumers, however, the more important question will be whether the new bonuses and bundles provide better everyday value than competing offers from MTN, Airtel and 9mobile.

The Bottom Line

Glo's latest campaign combines a new brand message with four customer-focused offerings: Welcome Bonus, Talkmasta Reloaded, Magic Data Bundles and Glo Café 3.0.

The addition of an AI assistant to Glo Café is particularly notable as Nigerian telecom operators increasingly use artificial intelligence to improve customer support and personalise digital services.

For existing Glo subscribers, the Magic Bundles and Talkmasta Reloaded are likely to be the most immediately useful changes, while new customers have the Welcome Bonus to consider.

Glo's message is simple: don't settle for less when your network can offer more.
