Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 September 2026
These Terms of Service apply to your use of Afritech Connect at afritechconnect.com, including article comments and newsletter features. Contact contact@afritechconnect.com if you have a question.
1. Our publication
Afritech Connect publishes technology news, analysis, reviews and practical buying information for readers in Africa and beyond. Content is general information. Prices, availability, specifications and software instructions can change. Review the evidence and limitations in the relevant article and confirm purchasing terms with the seller.
BNPL, phone financing and financial information
Our buy now, pay later (BNPL), instalment and phone-financing guides are for general education, not personalised financial, credit, investment, tax or legal advice. Afritech Connect is a publication, not a lender, credit broker or financial adviser. Reading an article or contacting us does not create an adviser–client relationship, an offer of credit or a guarantee of approval.
Providers determine eligibility, interest, fees, deposits, repayment schedules and contract terms. Verify the current terms directly with the provider, consider the total repayment cost and your ability to repay, and seek qualified independent advice when needed. You are responsible for your borrowing decisions. See our financial information disclaimer for risks and limitations.
2. Using our content
Our original articles, design and other materials belong to Afritech Connect or the relevant rights holder. You may read, link to and share links to our pages. Reproduction or commercial republication requires permission unless an applicable legal exception allows it. Product names, logos, supplied images and quoted material remain subject to their owners’ rights. Contact us for permissions or a copyright concern and identify the material involved.
3. Reader comments
You are responsible for the name and text you submit. Published comments and display names are public. Do not post unlawful material, threats, harassment, discriminatory abuse, someone else’s private information, infringing material, malicious links or spam. Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent a commercial relationship.
You retain ownership of your contribution and grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and reproduce it as part of the site and its technical backups. We may remove or moderate comments that breach these terms. Comments may appear before editorial review; their presence is not our verification or endorsement. Report a problematic comment with its article URL to our contact address.
Interactive features are not intended for children under 13. The comment interface may not offer self-service editing or deletion; contact us to request a correction or removal.
4. Newsletter and correspondence
Subscribe using an email address you are entitled to use. You can stop newsletter messages using an unsubscribe option where provided or by emailing us from the subscribed address. Enquiries and correction reports do not by themselves authorise unrelated marketing.
5. Advertising, affiliate links and external services
We may earn revenue from advertising, sponsored content or affiliate links. Relevant commercial relationships must be disclosed as described in our Editorial Policy. A paid placement does not purchase an independent editorial recommendation.
External retailers and service providers set their own prices, delivery, warranty, privacy and contractual terms. Unless expressly stated, Afritech Connect is not the seller or a party to your purchase. Linking to a page does not mean we control all of its content.
6. Responsible access
Do not attempt unauthorised access to accounts or systems, interfere with the site, distribute malware or collect other users’ personal information unlawfully. If you have an account, protect its credentials and report suspected misuse. We may restrict access or remove contributions to address abuse, security issues or legal requirements.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle submissions and technical information. Our Cookie Policy explains browser storage and optional choices. Accepting these terms is not consent to optional analytics or advertising.
8. Accuracy, availability and responsibility
We aim to publish accurate and useful information, but cannot guarantee that every page is complete, current or error-free, or that the site will always be available. Report errors under our Corrections Policy. Our Disclaimer explains important limits of product and technical coverage.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect losses resulting from reliance on the site or from third-party transactions. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits consumer or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms do not remove our responsibility for our own editorial content or applicable publisher obligations.
9. Changes and disputes
We may change site features and update these terms. Changes will appear here with a revised date; additional notice will be provided where required by law. These terms are governed by Nigerian law, subject to any mandatory rights and jurisdiction protections that apply to you. Please contact us first if you have a concern so we can try to resolve it.
