itel Smartwatch Storm Plus Review: Price, Specs & Features

The itel Smartwatch Storm Plus ISW-015 is designed for buyers who want the basic benefits of a smartwatch without spending heavily. For ₦22,000 on itel's online store, it combines a large display, Bluetooth connectivity, health monitoring, notifications and IP68 protection.

Current marketplace discounts make it even more interesting. Jumia has listings around ₦15,850–₦15,950, although prices differ substantially between sellers.

Large 2.01-Inch Display

One of the Storm Plus' strongest features is its 2.01-inch HD IPS screen. A current Jumia listing specifies brightness of up to 500 nits, giving the watch a large surface for reading notifications and navigating menus. It isn't an AMOLED display, so buyers shouldn't expect the deep blacks, contrast or Always-On Display experience of more expensive watches.

Still, for a smartwatch costing around ₦20,000, screen size is arguably more important to many buyers than premium display technology.

Bluetooth Calling

The Storm Plus supports Bluetooth calling, meaning you can make or answer calls through the watch while it remains connected to your smartphone. This can be convenient when walking, exercising or when your phone isn't immediately within reach. However, don't confuse this with standalone cellular connectivity. There's no advertised SIM/eSIM support, so your paired smartphone remains necessary.

Health and Fitness Tracking

itel includes the essentials: heart-rate monitoring, blood-oxygen monitoring, sleep tracking, step counting and calorie tracking. Numerous sports modes for recording different activities. This makes the Storm Plus suitable for someone who wants a basic picture of daily movement and workouts.

These sensors are best treated as general wellness tools, not replacements for medical equipment or professional diagnosis.

Up to Seven Days of Battery Life

Battery endurance is another reason to consider the Storm Plus. It has up to seven days of use, while some specify up to 30 days of standby time. Actual endurance will vary according to screen usage, Bluetooth calls, health monitoring and notifications.

There is some encouraging owner feedback. A verified Jumia buyer in August 2026 specifically praised the watch for charging quickly and lasting a long time on a charge. That's individual owner feedback rather than controlled battery testing, but it suggests the battery claims aren't the only positive story around the watch.

IP68 Protection

The IP68 rating gives the Storm Plus protection against dust and water under rated testing conditions. That's useful for workouts, sweat, rain and everyday accidental splashes. However, "IP68" shouldn't simply be interpreted as permission to wear the watch in every water-related situation. Hot showers, soap and high-pressure water can create conditions outside standard resistance testing.

Smart Features Beyond Fitness

The Storm Plus isn't limited to activity tracking. itel includes smartphone notifications for calls, messages and social apps, alongside weather information, music controls and Find My Phone.

itel Storm Plus has an AI voice assistant and more than 100 watch faces, adding some customization to the experience. These are simple features, but they're exactly the type of functions that make an inexpensive smartwatch useful throughout the day.

Price: Shop Around Before Buying

itel's own online store currently lists the Storm Plus for ₦22,000.

Marketplace pricing is much less consistent. At the time checked, Jumia has the black ISW-015 at approximately ₦15,850–₦15,950, while another blue listing costs ₦23,997. Konga has listings around ₦22,500 and as high as ₦34,000. That means comparing the seller, warranty and exact ISW-015 model is important rather than automatically choosing the cheapest listing.

Limitations

The Storm Plus is still an entry-level smartwatch. You don't get an AMOLED screen or advertised standalone GPS. Its fitness and health capabilities aren't comparable to premium sports watches, and Bluetooth calling still depends on your smartphone.

The affordable construction and software experience also won't feel as sophisticated as an Apple Watch, Galaxy Watch or premium fitness wearable. Those compromises are easier to accept when the watch costs around ₦16,000–₦22,000.

Final Verdict

The itel Smartwatch Storm Plus is a strong option for first-time smartwatch buyers and anyone working with a tight budget. For an official-store price of ₦22,000, you get a 2.01-inch display, Bluetooth calling, heart-rate and SpO₂ monitoring, sleep and activity tracking, IP68 protection, smartphone notifications and multi-day battery life. And if you find one of the current Jumia deals around ₦15,850–₦15,950, the value proposition becomes even stronger.

It's not designed for serious athletes or buyers looking for advanced GPS and medical-grade health features. But for calls, notifications, basic fitness tracking and everyday smartwatch functions, the Storm Plus delivers the essentials at an impressively low price.
