The Zealot S32 is an attractive portable Bluetooth speaker if you want something inexpensive for music at home, work or outdoors. But there is another option sitting just above it: the Zealot S32 Pro. The Pro costs more, but you get a much more powerful 15W speaker, Bluetooth 5.2, a larger battery and stronger bass performance while retaining useful features such as USB, microSD/TF card and AUX playback. So, is the S32 Pro worth paying extra for, or should you save your money and buy the regular S32?

Sound: S32 Pro Is Considerably More Powerful

Sound output is the biggest difference between these speakers. The regular Zealot S32 is a compact personal speaker. It is loud enough for bedrooms, kitchens, dorm rooms, offices and casual outdoor listening, but you should not expect it to fill a large party space.

The S32 Pro increases output to 15W. Its current product listing describes a 57mm full-frequency internal magnetic driver paired with a bass diaphragm and Zealot's digital sound enhancement technology. That additional output should make the Pro noticeably better when listening outdoors or entertaining several people. The difference is not simply about maximum volume either. More available power gives the S32 Pro greater room for bass and fuller sound before you need to push the speaker close to maximum volume.

For personal listening, however, the regular S32 can still be sufficient.

Battery Life

The regular S32 we previously reviewed advertises approximately 10 hours of playback. The S32 Pro goes further with a 2,500mAh battery and up to around 12 hours of playback at moderate volume according to a current Nigerian retailer listing. Real-world battery life will depend heavily on volume. Playing bass-heavy music at maximum volume will drain either speaker faster than listening at 40–50%.

The S32 Pro therefore wins on battery capacity and potentially playback time, although the difference may not be dramatic during normal use.

Connectivity and Playback Options

Both speakers are surprisingly flexible. You are not restricted to Bluetooth. Both offer options for playing music from USB drives, TF/microSD cards and devices connected through an AUX cable. That makes them useful if you have music stored locally or want to play audio without continuously connecting your smartphone.

The S32 Pro uses Bluetooth 5.2 and supports a transmission distance of around 10 metres. It also supports TWS pairing, allowing two compatible S32 Pro speakers to be connected for stereo playback.

The Pro also includes a built-in microphone for hands-free calls.

Portability

Despite being more powerful, the S32 Pro remains relatively compact. Its weight at approximately 0.47kg. This means you can still put it inside a backpack or carry it between rooms without much trouble. The regular S32 is similarly designed around portability and remains an excellent option for students, travellers and people who don't want to carry a large speaker.

Which Is Better for Home Use?

For listening to podcasts, background music, YouTube or music in a bedroom, the regular S32 is enough for many users. You save several thousand naira while retaining Bluetooth, AUX, USB and memory-card playback. However, if the speaker will regularly be used in a living room, during gatherings or in areas with significant background noise, the extra power of the S32 Pro becomes worthwhile.

Which Is Better for Outdoor Use?

The S32 Pro wins.

Its 15W output provides more headroom when competing against outdoor noise, while the larger battery is useful when you are away from a power outlet. That makes it better suited to picnics, small outdoor gatherings, exercise sessions and similar situations. It still isn't a large party speaker, though. Anyone trying to provide music for a big event should consider a substantially more powerful model.

What Are Buyers Saying About the S32 Pro?

Current customer feedback on Jumia is generally positive. One S32 Pro listing has a 4.3/5 rating from 18 verified ratings. A verified buyer who reported using the speaker for about four months praised its audio clarity, portability and battery life, while describing the bass as decent for its size rather than extremely powerful. Another S32 Pro listing has a 4.7/5 score, although from only three verified ratings.

That feedback aligns with what the specifications suggest: the S32 Pro is a small portable speaker with good output for its size, not a substitute for a large high-powered sound system.

Zealot S32 vs S32 Pro: Which Should You Buy?

The decision mostly comes down to price versus sound output. Choose the Zealot S32 if you want an affordable speaker around ₦15,000 for your bedroom, office, dorm, kitchen or occasional outdoor listening. It provides the essential features without requiring you to spend much.

Choose the Zealot S32 Pro if you can spend around ₦22,000 and want noticeably more volume, stronger bass potential, Bluetooth 5.2 and a larger battery. For only around ₦6,000 more based on current listings, the Pro's jump to 15W output makes it the more capable speaker.

Final Verdict

The S32 offers better value if your budget is strictly below ₦20,000, while the S32 Pro is the better speaker overall. If you mostly listen alone in a bedroom or office, save your money and get the S32. But if you want a speaker that can play louder, handle small gatherings better and offer stronger battery capacity, spending extra on the S32 Pro makes sense.
