3 Best Affordable Infinix 5G Phones With Big Batteries

A large battery is becoming one of the most practical features to look for when buying a smartphone. Faster processors, brighter displays and 5G connectivity are useful, but they mean considerably less if your phone constantly needs charging.

Infinix has responded by introducing smartphones with batteries reaching 6,000mAh and 6,500mAh, including models that combine 5G connectivity with fast charging and high-refresh-rate displays. But there is an important distinction: not every inexpensive Infinix phone with a large battery supports 5G.

For this guide, we narrowed the selection to three models with genuine 5G connectivity and at least 6,000mAh battery capacity. The goal is straightforward: identify which phone gives you the strongest combination of battery endurance, everyday performance and affordability.

1. Infinix HOT 60i 5G — Best for budget-conscious buyers

The HOT 60i 5G is worth investigating if your main goal is getting 5G connectivity and a large battery without moving into more expensive mid-range territory. Its biggest attraction is a 6,000mAh battery, which gives it a meaningful capacity advantage over many older budget smartphones with 5,000mAh batteries. The phone uses MediaTek's Dimensity 6400 processor, paired with a 6.8-inch LCD display offering a 120Hz refresh rate.

For everyday tasks such as WhatsApp, browsing, YouTube, navigation and mobile banking, this combination is reasonably capable. The 120Hz display should make scrolling smoother, although the HD+ resolution is a compromise compared with the sharper panels found on more expensive devices. The camera system includes a 50MP main camera and a modest 5MP selfie camera.

Battery and charging
While the 6,000mAh capacity is attractive, charging is limited to 18W. That is considerably slower than the 45W charging available on the other two phones in this guide. If you normally charge overnight, this may not matter much. If you regularly need to recharge quickly before leaving home, it becomes a disadvantage.

Limitations
The 4GB RAM configuration is restrictive for heavy multitasking, the LCD panel lacks AMOLED contrast, and the selfie camera is basic. There is also a purchasing complication: the widely listed regular HOT 60i is a 4G device with different specifications.

Buying recommendation: Consider the HOT 60i 5G only when the seller confirms the exact model, 5G support, battery capacity and warranty.

2. Infinix Note Edge — Best for battery endurance and display quality

The Infinix Note Edge is the most balanced battery-focused smartphone in this comparison. It combines a 6,500mAh battery with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display and 120Hz refresh rate. That gives it two important advantages over the HOT 60i 5G: more battery capacity and a better display technology.

AMOLED panels deliver deeper blacks and stronger contrast than conventional LCDs, making them particularly attractive for streaming, reading and watching videos. The Note Edge also uses MediaTek's Dimensity 7100 5G processor, paired with 8GB RAM in common configurations.

For users who spend hours switching between social applications, streaming services, productivity tools and mobile games, this is a more capable setup than the HOT 60i 5G.

Battery and charging
The 6,500mAh battery supports 45W wired charging. That combination is especially appealing because it addresses two different problems: keeping the phone running for longer and reducing the time spent waiting beside a charger.

Battery capacity alone cannot guarantee a specific number of hours, but the Note Edge has the largest battery of our three selections. Its relatively slim construction is another advantage for buyers who do not want an oversized phone simply to get more battery capacity.

Limitations
The Dimensity 7100 is a mid-range processor rather than a high-end gaming chipset. The 50MP main camera is useful for everyday photography, but the phone lacks the camera versatility of devices with dedicated ultrawide and telephoto lenses. Nigerian pricing also varies significantly. We found a tracked 8GB/128GB price around ₦387,500, while Jumia listings reached approximately ₦448,588 for 128GB and ₦498,288 for 256GB.

Buying recommendation: The Note Edge is our preferred option for users who want the largest battery in this selection without sacrificing AMOLED display quality.

3. Infinix HOT 70 Pro 5G — Best for performance and durability

The HOT 70 Pro 5G is the most performance-oriented option on our shortlist. Its MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor provides a capable foundation for multitasking and mainstream mobile gaming, while its 6.76-inch display reaches a 144Hz refresh rate. The display is an LCD rather than AMOLED, but its high refresh rate is useful for smooth navigation and compatible games.

The rear camera uses a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor, making it an interesting choice for buyers who want recognizable camera hardware rather than simply a large megapixel number. Infinix also gives the phone IP68 dust and water resistance, an advantage over many affordable Android devices.

Battery and charging
The HOT 70 Pro 5G includes a 6,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. Although it has 500mAh less capacity than the Note Edge, its charging speed is competitive. For students, content creators and users who frequently move between gaming, streaming and productivity, this offers a useful balance between endurance and performance.

Limitations
The biggest disappointment is the LCD display. At this price, an AMOLED panel would have made the phone more competitive for multimedia consumption. The 8MP selfie camera is also modest, and there is no dedicated optical telephoto lens.

Price is another concern. Our Nigerian market check found the 6GB/128GB version around ₦484,000, while 8GB/256GB listings ranged from approximately ₦550,000 to ₦599,999. At the higher end, buyers should compare alternatives before paying.

Buying recommendation: Choose the HOT 70 Pro 5G if performance, 144Hz refresh rate and IP68 durability matter more than having an AMOLED screen.

Which Infinix 5G phone should you buy?

For the best combination of battery capacity, display quality and price, the Infinix Note Edge is our overall pick. Its 6,500mAh battery, 45W charging, 120Hz AMOLED display and Dimensity 7100 processor make it a strong all-rounder.

The HOT 70 Pro 5G is more attractive if you want a 144Hz screen, IP68 protection and a Sony main camera, although its higher price and LCD panel weaken its value proposition.

The HOT 60i 5G serves a different audience: buyers who want basic 5G functionality and a large battery without demanding premium hardware. However, local availability and exact-model verification are essential before purchase.

What to check before paying

Before purchasing any of these phones, confirm that the seller is offering the 5G variant, not a similarly named 4G model. Check the physical RAM, storage capacity, supported network bands and official warranty.

Also remember that a larger battery does not automatically mean better real-world endurance. Processor efficiency, display brightness, refresh rate, signal strength and software optimization all influence how long a phone lasts.

Final verdict

Infinix now offers several large-battery smartphones with 5G connectivity, but the best purchase depends on how much you're willing to spend.

Best overall battery and display: Infinix Note Edge.
Best for performance and durability: Infinix HOT 70 Pro 5G.
Best entry-level candidate: Infinix HOT 60i 5G.

For most buyers comparing these three, the Note Edge offers the strongest balance. It delivers the largest battery, a better display than its LCD-equipped alternatives and enough performance for demanding everyday use without necessarily reaching the HOT 70 Pro's higher asking prices.
